Back to Square One

Well, problems with the new Chrysler 300 caused me to return it and get the Sebring back. Only problem is it has a bad motor. Guess I will start over looking for a car but maybe something without a car payment would be better anyway. Guess we will see what I come up with.

Puerto Rico

Just back from a business trip to Puerto Rico. Great food and fun in San Juan.

We had time over the weekend to see the old neighborhood in Parkville, Guaynabo. They have enclosed the subdivision with a gate but the rest looks pretty much like it did back in the early 1990s. The house we lived in has been painted brown now but it is the same as before. See the posted pictures.

We went on a hike throught the rain forest and it was great. Holly even went swimming under the waterfall. We did not take our swimsuits so I did not go in but Holly was there, clothes and all.

We had one day to see the old forts (La Fortaleza, San Cristobal) and spent a little time on the beach and in the Atlantic.

I hired a rep while I was there so I will be going back for meetings on a regular basis and will get to see more on other trips.

Holidays in Mallorca and London

Since I had to be on business in Spain and London over the Holidays, Holly joined me and we spent Christmas week in Mallorce and then New Years in London. We had fun in Mallorca because it was the slow season and we had a lot of the island to ourselves. We took a cave tour and got a personal tour since we were the only ones there. Holly got to play the stalagtite pipes by bangining on the tubes with her hands. We drove through a blizzard in the mountains of Mallorca, saw the aincient Roman ruins, toured Palma (the capital city) and saw lots of beautiful cathedrals and churces. We even attended the LDS church on the island.

In london it was so cold we could hardly take it but the sights were nice. Of course I was working while Holly toured Windsor Castle, Stonehinge, and Bath. I did get to see some of the London sights like Westminster Abby, Parliament, Big Ben, Whitehall, Buckingham Palace and the like. We had a great time but missed being with family for the holidays as is our tradition.
